Introduction/specifics

A warm welcome

Our daycare centre is located in the Nibelungenviertel, a quiet residential area close to nature on the outskirts of Helmbrechts. We are outside in nature and in the fresh air every day. The children can let off steam in the large garden with lots of play equipment.

Our home offers space for over 75 children aged from two and a half years to school age to live, play, learn and grow together. In a transitional neighbourhood at Jahnstraße 7-9, there is space for 36 crèche children aged one to three.

In our open-plan centre, we live tolerance, diversity and inclusion. All children - including those with special needs - and their families are welcome at any time.

Outdoor Facilities

Garden

Our extensive garden and outdoor area offers children plenty of space to play. Whether it's climbing, driving various vehicles or playing football - we have great play and climbing equipment. This encourages movement and playing together. Those who prefer something a little quieter can make themselves comfortable in our sensory garden.

Food

In the morning, children can enjoy a balanced breakfast buffet in the dining room. Lunch is also offered as a buffet. All children have the option of choosing a freshly prepared hot meal or helping themselves to the buffet for ‘cold eaters’. Drinks are also freely available to the children outside of mealtimes.

Special offers for vegetarians and allergy sufferers as required. We show consideration for other nationalities and religions and offer meals without pork. We encourage the children to try different foods. But under no circumstances will we force a child to eat anything.

Basics

We support and accompany the holistic and comprehensive development of the children through a varied and pedagogically organised daily routine. We treat every child as a partner and at eye level and encourage each child in their individuality.

Free play has a high priority in our centre. We offer the children the necessary time to ‘fall into’ a game and to be able to live it out. The children determine their own actions and behaviour.
Playing is active learning. It is an inner need for the child. The child observes its surroundings with inexhaustible interest and finds joy in exploring objects with all its senses. Free play processes are always also learning processes, because play is the most elementary form of learning.

It is important to us in our educational work to support and encourage the children's independent, imaginative and creative play. To this end, we create a well-prepared environment for the children. We offer them space, time and various age-appropriate materials to fully satisfy the children's urge to explore and move.

Specifics

Forest day

We want to give the children the opportunity to explore nature all year round. That's why we pack our rucksacks once a month and hike into the forest.
