The concept of our FeuerwehrKita centers on various priorities that offer the children a wide range of development opportunities.                                                                                                                                                                            With regular activities with the fire brigade and the weekly forest day, the children have space and time to try things out and have new experiences in different settings. By dealing with children of different nationalities, space is created for intercultural education; this is where the foundations for tolerant behavior are created. When dealing with children from other cultures, the children learn that their own way of life is one among many. There is no way of life that is better than another, just different. “Help me do it myself”….is a basic idea from Montessori education that plays a big role in our daycare center. Working with Montessori materials promotes children's independence and allows them to grow into independent, self-confident and responsible personalities.
