Current information

Introduction/specifics

Our Kinderhaus is a small, family-run daycare center. It consists of a crèche for the younger children (12 children between 11 months and 3 years) and the kindergarten group for the older children (25 children from 3 years) and a forest group (20 children from 3 years). As both groups are on the same level and different rooms are used together, the children know each other as well as the different members of staff.

We do not see Christian education in our KiTa as an isolated offer, but rather it permeates the everyday life of the Kinderhaus and is an important part of our educational work. It is our wish to teach the children the basic values of the Christian faith, such as love of neighbor and a willingness to forgive. We do this by actively exemplifying Christian values and standards, telling Bible stories, praying together, reading aloud from the children's Bible/Christian books and singing Christian children's songs.

Rooms

Our barrier-free facility is located on the ground floor.

In the crèche group room there is a built-in area and a playhouse, the bedroom is directly adjacent to the group room. The crèche bathroom has small toilets and a nappy-changing table with a climbing aid.

The nursery's group room has a two-storey installation, a building corner with a walk-in truck and a reading house. An adjoining room to the group is used as a studio and for small group work.

The exercise room with ball pool, various vehicles and gymnastics equipment is used by all groups, as is the spacious kitchen.

Our children's library is located in the intensive room, which is also used for pre-school work, as a reading room or for parent-teacher conferences.

Outdoor Facilities

The garden can be used in a variety of ways. There is a tarmac area that invites children to drive vehicles, as well as a grass area with a play hill, slide and tube, a small climbing frame and a swing. In addition to a sandpit, there is also a large open building area, which is also filled with sand.

The crèche children have their own area, which also has a sandpit and a small playhouse.

Daily Schedule

At our facility, the children experience a daily routine that is characterised by fixed times for certain activities. Structure and rituals provide children with security and orientation, which they need so much, especially in today's world. There are also times when free activities take centre stage and the kindergarten children have time for free, creative play, their own research and discovery, but also time to observe and rest.

Food

The children can choose between juice spritzers, tea and water. The snack is brought by the children themselves.

The children enjoy lunch in a cosy atmosphere, all sitting together at one table, just like in a big family. We receive a balanced and varied hot lunch from an experienced caterer. Alternatively, parents can bring their own lunch for their child.

Additional Offerings

Our forest kindergarten is located in the city park of Hof, the Theresienstein. The group consists of 20 children aged 3-6 years and is supervised by 2-3 teachers. The group spends most of the day outdoors in the forest, regardless of the weather. A large construction trailer is used for brief warm-ups and small group work. It also houses a compost toilet. In extreme weather conditions, such as storms or thunderstorms, the group uses the children's centre's exercise room as an emergency shelter. As a rule, commercially available toys are not used in the forest kindergarten. The children play with natural objects that they find in their environment.
